👋 Hey there, neighbours! It’s Game Time!

If you know me, you probably know I don’t do things cookie-cutter.
When you first asked me to run in 2018, you weren’t looking for a stereotypical politician. You wanted someone who reflected this community: adventurous, active, connected to the land and tourism, supportive of agriculture, endlessly curious—and not afraid to speak up when Area C needed a voice at the table.
You also wanted someone who could walk into a room, get people’s attention, build support and negotiate a better deal for our community.
You elected me in 2018.
And in 2022, you doubled down.
But my relationship with this community started long before politics.
Some of you grew up alongside me at Hillview, VSS, VSS High Performance Program (program for excelling athletes to do school, travel & compete at the same time), Okanagan School of Ballet, Okanagan Rhythmic Gymnastics Club or the Vernon Community Arts Centre. With others, I’ve hiked our trails, sledded at Silver Star, explored Sovereign Lake, created public art, celebrated Halloween at the BX Fire Hall, bought produce from roadside stands and enjoyed the incredible outdoors we get to call home.
Maybe I’ve helped your nonprofit find funding, taught your child’s classroom, mentored a student through the SD22 scholarship program— or taught one of our young adults governance and political science at UBC Okanagan (where I currently teach while concluding my PhD in Public Policy, Governance).
And if you’re new here: welcome.
I’ve watched Area C change over the past decade. Long-time residents are downsizing, new families are arriving and another generation is beginning to put down roots.
That’s part of what makes this place so special.
You asked for a real person to represent an extraordinary community.
So I’m going to run this campaign the same way I’ve represented you: authentically.
I’ll tell you what worked.
I’ll tell you what didn’t.
I’ll show you what we’ve accomplished.
And I’ll tell you where I think we can go next.
Area C has an election this year, and I’m ready to make the case for why we should keep moving forward together.
As my athletic friends would say...
Game on.
